With over 8 years as a fully-fledged development consultancy, we have a credible and respected reputation within the community and development-based organisations. To begin, just send us an email highlighting areas you’d like your organisation to expand or improve upon; Given our expertise and experience in development, we can help you identify those key areas of improvement and you will, through participating in our internship programme, be able to grow and strengthen your organisation.How to join:

1.) Send us an email highlighting problems your organisation is facing or areas you’d like to improve ** i.e. do you need a website, a communications/fundraising strategy,an M&E system, extensive research, internal organisation re-structuring.
2.) Based on your requirements/desires, we’ll begin screening and reviewing candidates that would best match your organisational need
3,) We will then present intern(s) for you to select from
4.) Once an agreement has been made, we will notify the intern of their Cape Town internship. We will then prepare the interns by providing them with an online handbook and a cultural orientation and development-based workshop upon arrival

As part of a package component, Creative Consulting and Development Works will work directly with your organisation to recognize and identify areas needing additional support (and that would be best filled by an intern). We will also give you free access to our ‘best practices’ book that shares tips and information on how to effectively manage and utilize an intern in a development-based organisation.

Utilizing an internship-placement program gives you access to a wider network of students and post-graduates interested in gaining development experience.

And best of all, it’s a free service for organisations!

Once you’ve selected your desired intern, we will provide him/her with extensive information and an in-country orientation to assure they are informed, aware, and fully prepared for life in Cape Town and work in your organisation. We will work with each intern on an individual basis (before and during the internship) to assure they are meeting your organisations goals and expectations.

Following the internship, our staff will conduct an exit interview (both with the intern and the organisation) to assure all expectations were met, address any challenges, and find ways to continue improving the program. Receiving feedback and keeping the lines of communication open allows us to build the internship program to its fullest and most effective capacity.
