Intern for a network-based organisation that supports South African NGOs, service providers and individuals in eradicating the Violence Against Women.
This organisation supports their members through resources, facilitation, training, and media and communications support.
Roles and responsibilities:
- attending alliance meetings
- writing up brief reports (1-5 pages) on events
- uploading relevant content onto the website
- assist in organizing meetings and conferences within the programme unit. …and much, much more!
Why is this important?
Your role will help the organisation gain exposure and streamline communication within its 200+ members. This network aims to collaborate and share ideas and resources to help all participants be as effective and efficient in preventing gender-based violence.
This issue is very prevalent in South Africa and effects other sectors such as health, education, and community empowerment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to pursue a career in communications and journalism and/or that has interest in female empowerment and equality, law, and human rights issues.
